Kelsey N. Strand, DVM
Dr. Strand graduated from UC Davis in 2010. She and her three young daughters, Natalie, Julianne and Layla reside here in Twain Harte. Dr. Strand is elated to become member of such a wonderful team of veterinarians and staff. Her special interests include avian and reptile medicine, as well as pediatric care for puppies and kittens. Outside of her career, she enjoys boating and spending time at the lake. Most of all she enjoys spending time with her 3 beautiful girls.

Tanya Jackson, DVM
Dr. Jackson graduated from Cornell‘s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. She came to Twain Harte in 2016 to help out her mom, who is now 95 years old. She was previously a partner at a mixed animal practice (Eastview Veterinary Clinic) in New York. Dr. Jackson’s special interests include orthopedics, avian medicine, and ophthalmology. Away from work she enjoys spending time hiking with her husband Mark, dressage riding, wildlife rehabilitation, and spending time with her dogs and with her wonderful children.

Marvin J. Ordway, DVM
Dr. Ordway graduated from U.C. Davis in 1979 and, with his wife Linda, opened Twain Harte Veterinary Hospital in 1983. The hospital was initially located in the Village Mall Shopping complex. Our current state-of-the-art facility was completed in 1993. Dr. Ordway enjoys working with all kinds of small animals, including birds and reptiles. He is especially interested in oncology and orthopedic surgery. Away from work, Dr. Ordway is an avid road bicyclist, hiker, and dad to two daughters, Laura and Elizabeth.

Molly, Registered Veterinary Technician
Molly Mathiesen has been an integral part of our veterinary team since 1988. She is a licensed veterinary technician and is indispensable. But don’t tell her that. We don’t want it going to her head. Away from work, Molly cares for a myriad of pets including dogs, cats, chickens, and the occasional stray animals who are lucky enough to find a home with her.
Jessica, Registered Veterinary Technician
Jessica began her journey with us as a high school student in 2004. We are very proud of all of her accomplishments. She is now a Registered Veterinary Technician and a very valuable asset to our team. As a RVT she is skilled at blood draws, surgery prep, and radiographs just to name a few of her daily tasks. When we asked Jessica what she liked most about her job she said she loves all of it. Prepping for surgery and drawing blood are her favorites. Learning new things is always cool too!
Her hobbies are camping, riding her KTM, horses, doing family things, kayaking traveling and DISNEYLAND!
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her kids, gardening, cooking and watching movies and sports.
Cobie, Registered Veterinary Technician
Cobie has been with us since 2013. As a registered veterinary technician she is skilled at everything from blood draws to dentals and everything in between. Cobie says her favorite part of her job is the PUPPIES!
Cobie shares her home with 3 dogs, Luna, Leia and Suki & a cat named Ms. Kitty.
Outside of work Cobie likes to hike, camp and pretty much do anything outoors.
Arica, Registered Veterinary Technician
Arica is a Registered Veterinary Techincian. She is very knowledgeable in all areas of veterinary medicine. Arica is a valuable RVT but also a very valuable team member. She is always willing to take any task we throw at her.
Her favorite part of her job is participating in surgeries like spays and neuters and especially orthopedics with Dr. Jackson.
She loves emergency medicine and is involved in ACES.
She has Tank who is a labrador and Dixe who is a lab mix, and 2 Maine Coon/Siamese mixes named Moster & Lillie.
At home she likes to hang out with her two daughters and husband.
Cheryl, Certified Veterinary Assistant
Cheryl is a Certified Veterinary Assitant. She is able to work in every area of the hospital.
She enjoys her job and the people she works with. Also helping and learning more about animals.
Cheryl has 3 dogs, Cricket, Daisy and Mr. Smee.
Her hobbies are hiking, camping, kayaking, snowbarding, olympic lifting. She enjoys being outside mostof the time. She also coaches Crossfit and is a sports performance coach for USA weight lifting.
At home she likes to play with her dogs, garden and cook in her awesome new kitchen her husband built!
You will usually see Lynn when you bring your pet in. As an assistant her primary task is assisting the doctor in exam rooms. But she is so versitile you never know where you might find her. She often helps out in the reception area and anywere else we may need her. Lynn is a great asset to our office.
What she likes most about her job is that she gets to see so many different dogs and cats. She also likes to variety of cases which makes the job more interesting.
Her pets include dogs named Ella and Qunicy, cats, named Tabitha, Little Kitty, Kitten & Angel, 3 Horses, Rosie, Willow & Cali, her goat, Ninja, a duck & 8 chickens.
Riding her horses, crafting, taking care of her family and relaxing with some tv are the things Lynn likes to do whenever possible.
Lynsey takes care of our boarding pets as well as hospitalized pet. Her job covers everything from feeding, cleaning, walking and most importantly giving belly scratches and ear rubs.
She loves learning new things from the doctors. She also likes seeing all the different cats and dogs and getting to know their personalities.
Her pets include her dog Quincy, Cats, Littly Kitty & Tabitha, Horese Taco, Two, and Chalupa and Ninja her goat.
Lynsey’s hobbies include riding horses and painting. Most of her paintings are focused on animals. She even finds inspiration here at her job!
When you call of visit our office you will most like meet Ashlee. She is a staple in our front office and does an amazing job.
When asked what she likes about her job she said she likes learning new things for the doctors and techs.
Ashlee has an American Bulldog at home named Tank.
